Stephen Fasano (better known as his stage name) is a house DJ and producer from Belgium. He was born in a town just outside of Brussels, Stephen Fasana grew up listening to his father's pop and disco orientated record collection. He had the likes of legendary artists such as Michael Jackson, Abba and Supertramp giving direction to his musical interest.
Fasano began his DJ and production skills by performing regularly on the local club circuit. By 2004, Fasana met Vito de Luca in Brussels and in 2004 the two turned into the internationally successful nu disco and Balearic duo Aeroplane. The two became a huge name playing to crowds around the world. Following a year of studio work the duo released the full-length “We Can’t Fly” in September 2010, featuring vocal contributions from Au Revoir Simone, Merry Clayton, and Sky Ferreira.
The Magician was born in 2010. He is now one of the leading nu disco DJs in the world with over 200,000 followers listening to his soundcloud mixes. He has had a huge string of releases on the French tastemaker label Kitsune. The hit “I Follow Rivers” in 2011 (which has had over 55 million views on YouTube and chart topping placings across Europe) and Clean Bandit’s “Rather Be” in 2014.
He has signed to Parlophone / Warner Records and joining the Machine Management roster of artists in late 2013. His song “Sunlight” featuring the vocals of Olly Alexander from Years & Years turned into a massive hit in 2014. He has gained a cult following of disco, pop and house fans.
